Donald Dean Fernelius Jones

Donnie passed quietly and peacefully at home on July 9, 2024. After a brief and unexpected cancer diagnosis.

Donnie was born on May 21, 1958, to Bonnie Jean Hatton Messenger and Clarence Donald Fernelius. He was a longtime resident of Ogden and Utah. 

He was employed at various care centers as a CNA. And also completed schooling for barbing and cosmetology. Don made many friends and acquaintances, and to him they became family.

Donnie married his longtime companion, Thomas Allen Jones in Ogden in October of 2014. They were elated and happy to become joined in matrimony.

Donnie is survived by a brother, Rick (Diane) Lindsey; brother-in-law, Ray Underwood; nieces and nephews; his cats, Lucy and Mister; and longtime friend and confidant, Lois. He was preceded in death by his partner, Tom; his parents; his sister, Debbie; and brother, David.
