Donald J. “Bud” Fisher
OGDEN – Donald James “Bud” Fisher, 83, died Monday, September 17, 2007 in Ogden.
He was born March 24, 1924 in Vernal, Utah, a son of Don C. and Nettie Barnes Fisher.
On October 16, 1948, Bud married Alice B. Zacher in Ogden.
He was raised on the family’s sheep ranch in Lonetree, Wyoming.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy.
Bud was a member of the Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Red Hot Square Dancers. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and horses. He wintered in Arizona for many years. Most of all, he lived for his family and grandkids.
Surviving are his wife of Ogden; three sons, Craig B. (Susan) Fisher, West Weber; Terry V. (Cindy) Fisher, South Ogden; Steven D. (Angie) Fisher, Ogden; his grandkids, Jeremy B. (JoyAnn), Amy Sue “Angel Baby”, Jared V., Kurtis K., Samuel J., Lucas J., Matthew T. and Tifani D.; and his great-grandkids, Emma Jo and Abby.
Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters.
Preceding Bud in death were his parents and two brothers.
The family expresses special thanks to the angels at Crestwood Care Center and Hospice For Utah.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
