Donald Ellsworth Kelley

LAYTON – Donald Elsworth Kelley, 77, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015.

He was born in Rochester, Minnesota on July 15, 1938 the son of Edward C. and Agnes Dobson Kelley.

Donald married Nancy Nogle.  She preceded him in death in 1982.  He married Roma Dalton on July 2, 1982 in Las Vegas, NV.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served six missions.  Donald retired from Civil Service after 38 years as a computer programmer for the Air Force. He was a reserve police officer for Ogden City for 11 years.

He was a comedian, loved to golf, ski, play basketball, even though he was small in stature, he was a giant of a man.

Surviving are his wife Roma, children:  Jeff (Sharon), Todd (Gina), Andrew (Stacie), Tammra (Carl) Gentry, Wendy (Ryan) Stromberg, Shane (Valerie) Housley, 32 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Nogle Kelley, daughter, Carrie Richards, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Woodland Park Ward, 2300 University Blvd., Layton.  Friends may visit family Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden.
