Donald M. Pitts
Donald Moulton Pitts, 76, passed away October 23, 2007 at the LDS Hospital from complications of diabetes. He was born June 23, 1931 in Heber City, UT to George A. and Zella Moulton Pitts. He married Gwen Carlile June 6, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.
He was a graduate of Wasatch High School where he excelled in his love of all sports. He attended the University of Utah and BYU. He retired from Unisys Corp after 25 years. He was a member of the Sons of the Pioneers. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he served in many callings. He also enjoyed serving as a Stake Missionary and his time spent working at the Bountiful Temple. He dearly loved his family and they loved him and enjoyed every moment they spent with him.
Don is survived by his wife Gwen, children Joyce (Don) Wilson , Redvale, CO; Janeen (Mark) Lane, Syracuse, UT; Carolyn (Michael) Gibbons, Yakima, WA; Kent D. (Debbie) Pitts, Liberty, UT; Annette (Clark) Irwin, West Bountiful, UT; Alyson (Dave) Mower , Syracuse, UT; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother George (Karen) Pitts; brother-in-law Ralph (Jeanne) Sorensen. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Colleen Sorensen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Centerville South Stake, 270 N 300 E. Friends may call Sunday, October 28, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N 400 E, Bountiful, UT and Monday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the Centerville City Cemetery.
