Donald Kay Richins, 77, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Country Pines.
He was born July 17, 1930 in Morgan, Utah to Talbert Charles and Naomi Waldron Richins.
On November 16, 1951, Donald married Joyce Seaman in Ogden, Utah. They have lived in Roy, Utah since 1958.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Donald was employed as a Roy City Police Officer from 1961 to 1969. He retired from Hill Air Force after 29 years of employment.
He served as President of the Golden Spike Snowmobile Association (GSSA) and was a member of the Pineview Yacht Club.
Donald enjoyed the outdoors, boating, water skiing, snowmobiling and hunting. He loved his horses. He loved building anything with wood and metal.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; a son, Larry D. (Cynthia) Richins, Farr West; a daughter, Stacy (Wes) Lansford, Colleyville, TX; seven grandchildren; a brother, Robert Richins, Kaysville; and a sister, Mrs. Marvin Lythgoe, Denver, CO.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Colleen Richins.
A special thanks is extended to Dr. Burtenshaw, Charlotte, Mary and the staff at Vista Care Hospice for their exceptional care.
Graveside services will be Thursday, November 15th at 11 a.m. at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West.
Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
