Donald V. Slater

Donald V. Slater, age 85, born January 17, 1924 passed away on August 7, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah after a two year battle with colon cancer. He loyally served 23 years as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. He worked many years as a Mechanical Draftsman finally retiring at age 70 from Eaton-Kenway.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Magdalena Slater of Centerville, UT; two sons Terryk Slater (and wife, Nadine Slater) of Bountiful, UT; Brian Slater of Williams Township, Pennsylvania and one daughter, Rene Billings (and husband, Lee Billings) of Riegelsville, Pennsylvania. Also, two beautiful granddaughters, Stephanie Slater of Bountiful, UT and Rachel Billings of Riegelsville, Pennsylvania.

His funeral and burial will be held privately, under the direction of Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
