Roy – Our loving mother Donna “Arlene Gale, 90 years old passed away at her home in Roy, Utah on Monday July 29, 2024 of natural causes. She was born February 22, 1934 in Willard, Utah the daughter of Cecil Phae Woodland and Donna Mae King.
She married Clarence C. Gale on December 8, 1952 in Ogden, Utah, they were later divorced. She then married Kent Hislop and settled in Huntsville, Utah for many years. They were later divorced. Mother worked many jobs in her lifetime.
After retiring Arlene loved to paint. She won many 1st place ribbons, entering her paintings in many fairs in Weber And Davis Counties. She also loved crafting, crocheting, and decorating.
Mom was a snowbird traveling from Utah to Yuma, Arizona, then decided to settle in Yuma for many years.
She is survived by; her daughter Kathy Penrod (Chris) Tribble, of Layton, UT., son, Kevin C. Gale, Roy, UT., grandsons; Casey K. (Ryne) Penrod, Ogden, UT., Jon W. Penrod, Ogden, UT., Zachary Hazen, Layton, UT., great-grandkids, Reva M. Penrod and Cinch K. Penrod.
Arlene was preceded in death by her daughter; Karen Hazen Weaver of Layton, UT., her son Lance Bradley Gale and grandson Courtney C. Gale.
Mother will be missed by all that knew her and loved her. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from Ogden Regional Hospital, also Tanner Clinic that took special care of her when she returned to Utah.
Mother will be laid to rest at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
