DONNA RAE CARLSON

1931-2014

Donna Rae was born March 29, 1931, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Daniel Westley and Vallie Lavada Bagley.  She passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Merwin Dee “Bud” Bagley (Nina).  She is survived by her sister Arta Mae Faulkner (Jim) and by her five children: Tamara Kirkham (Gordon), Ronna Linn Lawrence, Greg Call (Marty), Kristi Black (Brian), Cindy Salisbury (Rich), and by her 29 beautiful grandchildren and 60 extraordinary great-grandchildren.

Donna Rae gave the gift of music to hundreds and freely gave of herself to all she knew.  She lived her life without guile, and she accepted others for exactly who they were.  Her selfless example of forgiveness, meekness, loyalty and commitment blessed our lives.  She courageously endured every experience the Lord gave her.  Her life was centered around our Savior, our Father in Heaven and her family.  We will remember her every time we hear beautiful music.

We’re thankful for her friends, who cared for her deeply.  We’d like to express gratitude to the wonderful folks at the Avalon Care Center and to Bristol Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Bountiful Heights 34th Ward Chapel 540 N. 1200 E. Bountiful, where friends may visit from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
