Donna LaRene Rawlings Cragun "GRACIOUS LADY"
PLEASANT VIEW- Donna LaRene Rawlings Cragun was reunited with her loving husband on Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 2, 1927 in Clearfield, Utah daughter of Fredrick W. C. Rawlings and Gladys Bingham Rawlings.
Donna married Gordon P. Cragun on May 3, 1946 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She lived in Clearfield, Ogden, Whittier, CA., and Pleasant View.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served in the Ogden Temple for more than 20 years. She loved working with Primary Children and Young Women.
Mom loved spending time at her cabin at Bear Lake. She loved the Utah Jazz. Mom worked at IRS for more than 20 years. Mom loved traveling with dad and spending time with family. Donna was"The Party Grandma" and loved to be with family.
Words alone cannot express the love she has for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each of them has an example of love to follow.
Love is patient, love is kind, love never ends.
She is survived by her sons: Kent (Terri), Pleasant View; Keith (Jeanette), N. Ogden; Paul Scott (Mitzi), N. Ogden; Curtis (Lauri), Kaysville; and one daughter Catherine (Randy) Tucker, Farmington. Also 24 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. One sister Bernice Aliyetti, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon, parents, and one brother Sherman.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation for the tender loving care shown to mom by IHC Hospice and especially that of Julie. A special thanks is given to Danielle and Bobbie for your care of our mom.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 12th Ward, 900 W. Pleasant View Dr. officiating Bishop Greg Moore.
Family will meet with friends on Monday April 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2141 Washington Blvd. and Tuesday at 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
