Our mother, Donna (Warburton) Frost passed away at Family Tree Assisted Living of West Point, on May 21, 2024. She said she hoped she made it to 90 and she did!
Mom was born in Coalville, Utah, on December 28, 1933, to Clare Warburton and Mauddell (Clark) Warburton. Two more children were later born to their family, her brother, Larry (Bud) Warburton, and her sister, Sherri Warburton Carr. Their family lived in Coalville except for a short period in Nevada where her Dad worked on construction of the Hoover Dam.
Mom graduated from North Summit High School in the class of 1951. She was a very good student and enjoyed her business classes the most.
Donna married her husband, Keith B. Frost, in the Salt Lake Temple on November 14, 1952. They were the parents of two daughters, Donna Jean (Frost) Blonquist (Jim), and Jill (Frost) Huish (Jonathan).
Donna graduated from Utah Technical College in Salt Lake with her Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate in 1969. She served one term as Summit County Treasurer. She also worked for the Summit County Hospital, Dairy Tank Company, Hill Field, and Browning Arms.
Some of Mom’s favorite things were family vacations, camping trips, good food, and good music. As a young girl, she enjoyed spending time at her Grandpa Clark’s farm in Upton.
Donna was blessed with eight grandchildren: Maria, Mark, Holly, Steven, Keith, Katie, Ryan, and Kellie. She was also blessed with twenty great-grandchildren: Kaemon (serving an LDS mission in Idaho Falls, Idaho), Morgan, Milea, Micah, Zallen, Bolden, Henry, Kendrick, Abbie, Jonathan, Wembley, Macie, Lennex, Caroline, Daxxon, Wyatt, Kenley, Grace, Gemma and Phoebe.
Mom was proud of her family and loved them so much. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brother.
She is survived by her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sister.
We would like to thank Family Tree of West Point for the love, kindness, compassion, and help they have shown our Mom for the past two and one-half years. You are all very special people. We could not have asked for anything more. We would also like to thank A Plus Hospice Care for the tender care they have shown our mother over the past year. We love you all!!
