Donna C. Hadden
RIVERDALE – Donna Charlene Warner Hadden passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at her home. Her untimely death was the result of Lewy Body Dementia.
Donna was born October 14, 1931 on a farm in Marriott-Slaterville, a daughter of Clyde Oborn and Margaret Amelia Warner. She was one of eight sisters and one brother. She grew up working hard on the family farm, helping with her younger siblings and being employed at various positions. She graduated from Ogden High School Class of ’49 of which she was always very proud.
Donna married Stanley Hadden on July 21, 1951. They moved to Roy where they began their family. Her first child, Shonna Lynn, was born at Hill Air Force Base hospital while Stan was serving in the armed forces during the Korean War and was overseas at the time. Their second child, Jeffrey Stewart, was born in Roy. In September of 1964, they moved to Riverdale where their youngest child, Kelly Ann, was born.
Donna’s first love was always her immediate and extended family. Her other loves included gardening and cooking for friends and family alike. Her easy ways and loving personality surrounded her with friends that stayed in touch for a lifetime.
Surviving are her husband, Stan, of Riverdale; son, Jeffrey S. (Jeni) Hadden, Roy; daughters, Shonna L. (Joseph) Sondrup, Roy; and Kelly A. (Micheal) Henderson, Farmington; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also surviving are her sisters, Betty (Howard) Sides, Kaysville; Maxine (Bo) Glasgow, Baggs, WY; Shirley (Ferrel) Gailey, Syracuse; Mary Ann (Jack) Patton, Grass Valley, CA; Janice (Jerry) Lerohl, West Weber; Connie (Gary) Horspool, Roy; and her sister-in-law, Karlene Warner, Ogden.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ladene (Shannon) Murphy and brother, Larry Warner.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Alpine Hospice for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
