Donna Jeanette Prisbrey Hawkes

July 23, 1937 ~ April 16, 2018

A lifetime resident of Utah, Donna Jeanette Prisbrey Hawkes, 80, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born on July 23, 1937 in Brigham City, Utah, the daughter of Miner Grant and Emma Leishman McAllister Prisbrey.

Donna married Lloyd Hawkes on September 6, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lloyd passed away on March 8, 2005.

She earned her Master’s Degree in Home Economics and taught at North Junior High School.

Donna served a fulltime LDS Mission in Germany and two service missions. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She enjoyed swimming, weekly temple attendance, travel, sewing, reading, quilting, teaching, and gardening.

Donna is survived by her sons, Larry (Terry) Hawkes, Brigham City; and Gregory (Trisha) Hawkes, Clearfield; daughters, Julie (Michael) Grange, Bountiful; Linda (Mark) Taylor, Pleasant View; Becky (Craig) Stacey, Gainsville, FL; Angela (Nathan) Tanner, Provo; and Kimberly (Kemp) Rosqvist, Burley, ID; 45 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way, 4 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Dean Prisbrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hawkes; son, Chris Hawkes; and great-grandson, Landon Carter Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View Chapel, 900 West Pleasant View Dr. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8  p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
