Our sweet mother, Nonna, grandmother and friend, Donna Marie Hazelton peacefully passed away September 23, 2024. She was born on September 3, 1933, in Parma, Ohio, to Teresa (Dixie) Mary Crimaldi. She beautifully touched all of our lives for 91 years and brought love and kindness to everyone she knew along with her strong faith in Christ.
She graduated from Ellet High School, Akron, Ohio, where she was a cheerleader and married Hewitt E. Hazelton. She raised six children after moving to Brigham City, Utah, where she loved to play tennis with all of her amazing friends who adored her. She was a superb player and won many tournaments with her incredible lobs! Although sweet...her competitive nature came through, as she loved to win, even cards, dice and Monopoly. She was very artistic, loved to draw and paint with so much talent! She loved children and won the hearts of those she nannied. She traveled to Spain and Italy and lived much of her later life in Colorado.
Donna is survived by her four children, Mary Elizabeth Rust (Ronald), Eileen K Hazelton, Erin Hugh Hazelton (Lauri), and Karen Marie Hazelton; ten grandchildren, Nicole Marie, Cary Alan, Nathan Douglas, Kyle Adam, Brandon Hewitt, Russell K, Bobbi Jo Karen, Sabrina, Sophia Therese and Corban; and ten great-grandchildren, Christopher, Treycen, Daxton, Jaydon, Finn, Blaise, Karter, Kadynce, Jamison, Donna and Harper.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Brian Hugh Hazelton and Douglas Alan Hazelton; and her mother and father.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor Donna Marie on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. at God's Place Church, 3717 Grant Avenue, Ogden Utah, with a light lunch following for close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
