Donna Lee Neubert Jones

Donna Lee Neubert Jones, 80, left us on Saturday, March 22, 2014 surrounded by her husband and children to Return With Honor. Born on August 27, 1933, the second of three children, to Erhard Max and Ada Elvera Pierce Neubert in Portola, and raised in the mountains of Grey Eagle, California. She met her husband, Don M. Jones at Brigham Young University and was sealed in marriage in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 8, 1956.
A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donna loved genealogy work and served as a Family History Consultant. She and Don served a mission in the Freiberg East Germany Temple; the homeland of her father.
Donna was an avid gardener and loved bird watching, and camping in the mountains. Donna will be remembered for her sweet disposition, her unconditional love of her children and grandchildren, her warm smile and her sparkly blue eyes.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Don M. Jones, Pleasant View; children, Michidawn (Steve) Ubelhor, Pleasant View; Teak D. Jones, Layton; Kracyn (Shane) Leslie, Pleasant View; Terica Turner, Ogden; Cendra (Rick) Ipsen, Pleasant View; and RaQuett (Greg) Stroud, Pleasant View; 24 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and sister, JoAnn (Charles) Turner, Kaysville.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tyana J. Knight, and brother, “Buddy” Lamon Neubert.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 12th Ward Chapel, 900 West Pleasant View Dr. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through any local congregation.
