Donna Mae Burrie Carlson
July 3, 1920 ~ May 19, 2015
Our beautiful mom and grandmother, Donna Mae Carlson, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, May 19, 2015, due to a stroke she suffered the previous Sunday. She was born July 3, 1920 to George Henry and Retta Mae McCulloch Burrie in Logan, Utah.
She married Don A. Carlson on August 16, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Don passed away November 2, 2001.
Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She taught elementary school for 23 years influencing the lives of many young students. She was very involved in the Utah Symphony Guild of Ogden, Chareya Women’s Club, and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She loved to shop, golf, play bridge, travel, and was an excellent horsewoman. Donna was also a wonderful seamstress, and enjoyed embroidery, and quilting, making each of her grandchildren a special quilt.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Pam (Jerry) Ingalsbe and Susie Clarke; 12 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patti Brown and brother, Jay Burrie.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Willard Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
