Donna Mildred Taylor

Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend Donna Mildred Taylor, 79, passed away January 5, 2017.
Daughter of Don Austin and Mildred Barlow Taylor. She was born December 28, 1937, sharing the birthday with twin brother Don, in Ogden, Utah.
She attended Pioneer and Wasatch elementary schools, North Davis Jr. High, graduating from Davis High School in 1956.
She worked for her parents at their place of business Taylor’s A&W Rootbeer Drive-In. She was employed for 31 years at Clearfield State Bank and 10 years at Golden Years Center, Bountiful. She retired in 2003.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions. She was never comfortable behind a pulpit but she taught the most important lessons through her kindness, courage, strength and love. She served in the Western Canadian Mission from 1961 to 1962.
Donna had two loves in her life, her family and the Gospel.
Donna cherished a close and loving relationship with her family. Donna enjoyed the many trips she took with family and friends. Donna valued the many lifelong friendships she had especially “The Clearfield Gang.”
Donna never married but had many nieces and nephews she loved very much. She had a special talent for crocheting and left us thousands of stitches to remind us of her love.
Lessons taught by Donna will never be forgotten.
Donna is survived by her sisters, Marylyn Taylor D’Hulst Flint (Gary S.), Joyce Taylor Sessions and sister-in-law, Darlla Taylor. She is also survived by 52 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother Don B. Taylor, brother-in-law, Kay A. Sessions, one niece and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 7th L.D.S. Chapel, 300 N. Vine Street. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the L.D.S. Chapel. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street.
