LAYTON - Our loving Mother, Sister, and Grandmother, Donna Kathryn Nanney returned to the embrace of our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 10, 2015. Donna age 62, passed away in her Layton home surrounded by family. Donna was born on March 15, 1953 to Lewis Joseph and Betty Jo Joseph. Donna grew up in Ogden, Utah. She married her husband Paul Nanney on November 9, 1974, and was sealed for time and all eternity to her family on June 8, 1990.

Donna served in her faith in various callings as Relief Society president, primary teacher, Emergency Preparedness organizer and scout leader. She worked as Harrisville City Treasurer. She never shied away from service to her friends and neighbors.

Donna loved sports of all types including volleyball, softball, skiing and especially playing golf with her husband Paul. Her greatest service was the one she performed in her home as a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and to try new recipes. In the monthly family dinners, she would often have something new or exotic for the family to try and was always welcoming with her heart and home to new additions to her family. A mother and friend to all. She fed and housed many sons and daughters who loved and cared for her.

Her love and spirit will be cherished and remembered by those she leaves behind.

Donna is survived by her husband Paul Nanney, son Chad (Jennifer) Nanney, daughter Lisa (James) King. grandchildren; Jaycie Nanney, Sinjin Nanney, Sariah Nanney, Zane Nanney, London King, Lorelai King.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia Abbott.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
