“I returned to my Heavenly Father on September 7, 2021 and was preceded by my husband, my parents, one brother, two sisters, and my beloved son Joey.

I was born to Arnie and Cecile Vaughn Jacobsen August 7, 1931. I graduated from Ogden High School and LDS Seminary, member of Lorin Farr 4th Ward.

I married Junior Neilson March 31, 1951. We had three great kids, Terry Neilson, Kathy (Jeff) Butters, and Joey (Christy) Neilson.

They gave us eight amazing grandchildren and five wonderful great-grandchildren. I am so proud of all of them and love them more than words can say.

My grandchildren are Cody (Brandi) Neilson, Nikki (Taylor) Petersen, Tiffanie (JJ) Oladi, Ashley (Chance) Allred, Chase (Erica) Butters, Meagan (Jason) Lema, Jared (Dani) Neilson, Michelle Neilson. My great-grandchildren are Alex and Alexus Oladi, Ryker Neilson, Eizley Peterson, Teagan Allred, and Brayleigh Neilson.

Never forget how much I love all of you. God be with all of you.”

Our Jean, Grandma Jean, and Grammy was unbelievably considerate, loving, selfless, nurturing, thoughtful, and compassionate. Her heart and generosity knew no bounds. She was strong, determined, and independent. Some might even say slightly stubborn. She was always fun and enjoyable, especially when the deck of cards came out.

She was perfect. Perfect in every respect. Her laugh, her smile, her big kisses, her hugs; they were perfect, and she was the perfect Grandma. We are all a little closer to perfection having had her in our lives. We love you grandma. You will forever be missed.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at West Weber Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
