Donna Peelgren

Donna Mae Peelgren, 80, quietly passed away, Tuesday, August 26, 2014.

She was born February 17, 1934, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Nicholas and Mamie Ryle Choukalas.

Donna married Maurice Peelgren, the love of her life, on September 11, 1954.

At a young age, Donna accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her relationship with Christ flourished as she grew, and her servant’s heart and exuberance were the result of her faith and assurance of God’s hand on her life. She was a source of energy, who left an impact on peoples’ lives. She was a faithful member of the Mountain View Baptist Church in Layton where she loved to worship and fellowship.

Donna loved people, often going out of her way to see that their needs were being cared for. She had an inviting personality and charm which made every individual feel “special.” She was always busy and was an excellent seamstress and artist. Her handiwork of knitting, stitchery, and painting were always highly cherished by those people who received her many gifts.

Surviving are her sister Dorothy Tupy of Northfield, MN; son James Peelgren and wife Joelle of Covina, CA; daughter Linda Corn and husband Forest of Clinton; and grandson, Maury Turner.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 31, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church, 2585 E. 3000 No., Layton.

Interment, Utah Veteran’s Memorial Park, Bluffdale, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, P.O. Box 9, Layton, UT 84041.
