Donna Bell Pendleton passed away July 30, 2024, surrounded by her children. She was born August 4, 1945, in Montebello, California. She was the second daughter of Henry and Naomi Todd Bell.

The family moved to Sunset, Utah, where Donna attended Clearfield High School. She performed in several operettas and musical plays and sang in multiple choirs while in high school, graduating in 1963. She later attended Weber State College, where she studied vocal music. She participated as a member of the Otyokwa Social Club, the Music and Talent Committee, and Weber State Singers. Donna met Michael Marquis Pendleton while attending Weber State College. They were married in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple on October 14, 1965. The couple made their first home in Ogden, where their two sons, Michael Todd and Nolan Jay were born. The family moved to California in 1969, where son Chad Henry and daughter Nicole were born. The family returned to Utah in 1978.

She had a strong testimony of the gospel and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in several church positions: chorister and teacher in Young Womens, which she loved working with the young women. She had a strong testimony of the power of prayer, and loved when she had the opportunity to attend the temple.

Donna was a beautiful seamstress and loved to sew. She worked for several clothing apparel shops, including: Catalina, Brigham Apparel, and Fabric Shop. Her favorite was making wedding dresses at her friend’s bridal shop. She also worked at the Terrace Depot for many years. She worked as a clerk in the Statistics of Income Department at the IRS, retiring after over 25 years of service.

She had many talents. One of her favorites was singing. She had a beautiful soprano voice and later alto voice. She sang with The Evergreen Singers and many church choirs. Other hobbies and talents included toll painting and cross stitch. Over the years, she created many beautiful projects for her family and friends.

Donna loved her family dearly and was so proud of each of them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought great joy to her life. She is survived by her sons, Michael ‘Todd’ (Linda), Nolan (Annette), Chad (Holly); daughter, Nicole; grandsons, Miles and Maxwell; granddaughters, Savannah and Gabriela; seven great grandsons; and her sister, Janet Bell Howes.

The family is grateful to the personnel at Peach Tree Assisted Living Center and the staff at St. Mark’s Hospital, especially her nurse, Shane for their care and compassion.
