Our beloved and cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandma, Donna Butters Perry, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Crestwood Care Center at the age of 84.
She was born May 8, 1925 in Morgan, Utah to Artie Robison and Henry L. Butters. She attended Ogden City schools and graduated from Ogden High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Floyd James Perry. They were married in Preston, Idaho on her birthday, May 8, 1943. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 8, 1951. For 62 years, they enjoyed a rich, full life together until Floyd''s passing in 2005.
Donna dedicated her life to being a full time mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, embroidering, making quilt tops and other fanciwork.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings including Ward and Stake Primary secretary, Blazer Scout leader, homemaking leader in Relief Society, Ward Librarian and visiting teacher.
Donna is survived by four sons, Dennis (Helen) Perry, Boise, ID; Ronald (Connie) Perry, Vernal; Douglas (Joan) Perry, West Point, VA; Kevin Perry, Clearfield; 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and one son, Jeffery Jay Perry.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
