Donna Berrett Pickford

"Together Again" Donna Berrett Pickford NORTH OGDEN - Donna Berrett Pickford passed away peacefully on November 13, 2009 at Beehive Homes of West Jordan at the age of 87. She was born November 3, 1922 to William Alfred and Hannah Hendrickson Berrett in North Ogden, UT. She grew up in North Ogden and graduated from Weber High School. Donna married her sweetheart, Leo Carl “Pete” Pickford, for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 4, 1941. As a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served as president of the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society and in many other leadership and teaching positions. She also served in the Ogden Temple and the German Name Extraction Program. She was a loving mother and devoted homemaker. She and Pete maintained a beautiful yard and garden and she excelled at preserving the fruits of their labors. She always served with a happy heart and willing hands. Her gentle, sweet disposition blessed the lives of her family, friends and associates. Donna leaves a legacy of the joy that comes through hard work, simple living and dedication to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Donna is survived by her children, Larry (Madelyn) Pickford, Roy, UT; Susan (Richard) Glaser, Wilmington, OH; Greg (Sandy) Pickford, Littleton, CO; Julie (Kevin) Romph, Riverton, UT; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her loving granddaughter, Annie Pickford, and two sisters, Lavern and Elaine. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21st at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Friends may call on Saturday prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
