She was born November 27, 1927 in Gateway, Utah, a daughter of William L. and Sylvia Lavern Jacques Poll. She graduated from Davis High School and attended Utah State University.
Donna grew up in South Weber and had many wonderful memories of those days. She loved the outdoors, working in her yard, fishing, hunting, camping, skiing, and participating in all sports activities. She played recreation softball and basketball for many years. She played for the Utah Shamrocks for 17 years competing throughout the U.S., Canada and Hawaii. She was inducted into the Utah Softball Hall of Fame at its inception in 1984.
She retired from Hill AFB in 1983. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and traveled extensively throughout the world.
Donna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to Australia where she made many lifelong friends. She served in several Stake and Ward leadership and teaching positions to include Ward Choir Director and Ward Chorister from June 1968 to December 2008 and was the Stake Coordinator for the German Name Extraction Program for 22 years.
Although Donna never had children of her own, she was truly thankful for all the children who loved her dearly. Her home was the gathering place for family members on Sunday evenings.
She was the glue that held our family together.
