Donna Rae Smith

1933 ~ 2018

Donna Rae Selleck Smith passed away June 11, 2018 following complications from Alzheimer’s disease.  Donna was born on January 31, 1933 in Columbus, Nebraska to Helen Krumland and Richard Selleck.

She graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus, NE.  She married Herbert W. Jones on March 8, 1953 in Columbus, NE.  They raised their family in Utah.  Later she married Kenneth Smith and resided in Layton, Utah.  She dedicated her life serving her friends and family, enjoying life to the fullest.

She is survived by her sister and best friend Pat Hoshor of Fremont, NE; children, Jackie Manning (Mike) of Centerville, UT; Kurt Jones (Janice) of Claremore, OK; and Sherry Koon (Mark) of Centerville, UT; and grandchildren, Jeremy Manning (Cathy), Troy Manning, Jordon Manning, Tara Manning Strickland (Daniel), Kristi Koon Green (Doug), Brandon Koon (Alicia), Melissa Koon Trump (Richard), Eliysia Jones Robinson (Shawn), Christopher Jones, Amanda Jones Weitholter (Jason).   She has 20 great-grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister Sherry Krumland, sister Carolee Bredehoft, brother Dick Selleck, granddaughter Jennifer Manning, grandson Riley Koon, and grandson Justin Hammons.

Her children are very grateful to the loving staff at Heritage Place and Memory Care for their help and tender care which was given to her during her stay.

A family graveside will be held at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
