Donna Rae Stallings Wilson

Donna Rae Stallings Wilson passed from this earth on Friday, July 12, 2019 from complications due to old age.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Don Carlos and Ora Howard Stallings of Lewisville, Idaho, her husband of 55 years Truman L. Wilson, her daughter Susan Holly Wilson Newbold, and her four sisters Dorothy Gardner, Merle Davis, Helen Davies, and Gayle Taylor.

She is survived by daughters Marsha (Rick) Mason, Trudy (Brent) Sartor, and Wendy (Shayne) Barnard, 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Donna and Truman’s daughters were born while they lived in Idaho Falls and Rigby.  They moved several times following Truman’s job but ended up in Chandler, Arizona where they retired.  After Truman’s death in 2002, Donna lived in Mesa, Arizona in a retirement community but had to move into Legacy House of Ogden when she started to need more care.

Donna loved being a home maker and cooking for her family.  She loved gardening, hunting, camping and fishing and was very competitive at games and cards.  While living at Legacy House she became the Bingo Queen.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and loved watching them grow and play.

Our family would like to express special thanks to Debbie Johnson of Inspiration Hospice for her loving care of Mom the last several months.  We would also like to thank everyone at Legacy House for the love and care of our Mother.  She enjoyed her time there and made many friends.

Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Mortuary in Rigby, Idaho on Thursday, July 18 at 1:00 p.m.  There will be a short viewing at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will be at the Rigby Cemetery immediately following the service.
