Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and Ogden business woman, Donna Jean Farr Robertson, age 90, passed away on May 10, 2017 at her home in Clinton, Utah. Donna, the sixth child of Archibald Poulter and Katherine Fife Farr, was born on February 22, 1927 in Riverdale, Utah. She attended Ogden High School where she was a member of the Gamma Sorority, graduating in 1945. She married her sweetheart and the love of her life, Dale Clifford Robertson, on October 30, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Donna was active in the community as a member of Altrusa International, the Chareya Club of Ogden, Weber Basin Homebuilders, Ogden Pineview Yacht Club, and the Ogden Golf & Country Club. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a dedicated wife and mother.
In 1975, she and Dale became the sponsoring parents of a family of Chinese children seeking refuge in the United States. To this day these children, Elizabeth, Michael, Jessica, Holly, and Bobby, and their families, honor them as Mom and Dad.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Robertson; her son, Grant Dale Robertson; her parents, her sisters, Katherine Brown and Lorna Marie Boam; and her brothers, Donald A. Farr, Dale Fife Farr, and Joseph Lewis Farr. She is survived by her children, Brent F. (Elizabeth) Robertson, Connie (Ralph) Pugmire, and Penny (Gary) Kapp; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
