Donna R. Schultz
OGDEN – Donna Ruth Slater Schultz, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, after suffering from multiple health problems.
Donna was the eldest child of four girls born to Horace H. “Dick” and Gladys Shaw Slater, on April 23, 1925, at the old Dee Hospital. Being the oldest growing up, she always looked out for her three sisters, loving, caring, and helping with their needs. Donna attended Mound Fort school and graduated from Ogden High in 1943. She had many close school friends. She also attended Weber College graduating as a L.P.N.
She married Nolan Otto Schultz on February 9, 1956 in their home.
Donna worked at the old McKay-Dee Hospital on the maternity floor. A special lifetime bond of love and friendship developed with her “nursie” friends.
Donna was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for many years in Mutual, Primary and the Relief Society.
Donna was a very kind person to all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband Nolan of Ogden; one son Mark (LeAnne) of Idaho Falls, ID; and three grandchildren Paul 20, Marilee 18 and Amy 15.
Also surviving are her sisters Jane Ann Johns and Sharon Burton, and many nephews and nieces who loved her dearly.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Carol Westmorland, and her daughter Susan Schultz.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Farmington City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
