Donna Jean Thompson Smith

Donna Jean Thompson Smith passed away on April 4, 2016 at her home.

Donna was born in Logan on November 25, 1942 to William Elwood and Olive Baker Thompson.

She graduated from Weber High School and Weber State College.

Donna was a very talented artist and teacher at Sandridge Jr. High School.  There she introduced the students to Silk Screen T-shirts, and later had a shop to sell them.  She created the most beautiful cards and sold Watkins products.  She was very creative and a great cook; a very unique person.  She also was a substitute cook and teacher.

She married Judson Enos Smith on June 17, 1978, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Donna was a librarian, Primary worker, and a single adult representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Judson and her parents.  She is survived by her daughter, Jeannette; brothers, Dale (Mary Ellen), Norvin (Angie), and her sister, Diane (Chris) Rigley; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Riverdale 1st Ward, 1056 West 4400 South.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.at the church.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
