OGDEN a€" Donna May Waldram Staker, 89, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital following a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born October 1, 1921 in Ogden, a daughter of Orvil and Lillian Shipley Waldram.

On June 2, 1947, Donna married Dale Hunter Staker in Ogden. Dale preceded her in death on March 17, 1977.

She was raised and educated in Ogden where she lived her entire life.

Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Donna served as a Primary President for over 20 years and was also a Guide Patrol Leader.

She worked as a railroad clerk and was also a recorder for Weber County. She received the Governor''s Award for Outstanding County Employee. She was also a member of the Railroad Business Women''s Association.

Donna enjoyed reading, dancing at the old White City Ballroom, gardening, bowling and sewing.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Dr. Dennis Staker, Drew Staker and Sherry Staker Aldrich, all of Ogden; four grandchildren, Cal and Curt Holmes, Cade Snow, and Jessica (Jake) Streeter.

Her husband and her parents preceded Donna in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. an Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
