Donna Marie Silotti Steffensen, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born August 7, 1945. She was the youngest of Paul and Madge Silotti’s six children. She grew up in a home full of love and service.
David and Donna were married in the Salt Lake temple on May 26, 1967 and made a career in the US Army spending time in Texas, Germany, Colorado and North Carolina prior to retiring in Kaysville, Utah where they spent 25 wonderful years making many lasting friendships. They spent the last year with their oldest daughter's family in Evanston Wyoming. Donna made many friends in her new home.
Donna was always trying to serve others and served faithfully in many church callings. She and David served a mission together at the Bishop's Central Storehouse in Salt Lake. They absolutely loved their time there, especially working with the young Elders and Sisters they had the pleasure of knowing and serving with.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, David; her daughters Heather (Steven) Baldwin of Evanston, Wyoming; Jennifer (Joseph) Rupp of Woods Cross, Utah; Tammy (Justin) Peterson of El Paso, Texas; Diana (Kent) Hyer of South Weber, Utah; son David (Kira) Steffensen of Layton, Utah; 18 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; brother Gene Silotti; sister-in-law Luciene Silotti; sister, Carol Hamilton; and sister Sylvia (Reed) Maynard. Donna loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed creating memories with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Madge Silotti, her brother Jack and his wife Joyce Silotti, brother Donald Silotti, sister-in-law Marlene Silotti, brother-in-law Don Hamilton and her father and mother-in-law Arthur and Olive Steffensen. She is looking forward to a grand reunion with them in heaven.
The family would like to share a huge thank you to the amazing staff of the ICU at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. Their care and personal touch were exemplary.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 18th Ward, 1085 North 50 East, Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
