Donna Jean Patterson Taylor

August 14, 1927 – December 12, 2015

At the age of 88, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, Donna Jean Patterson Taylor, passed away at her home surrounded by family after a long illness Saturday, December 12, 2015.

Born in Riverdale, Utah to Adam and Alta C. Georgeson Patterson, Donna was a woman of great service and generosity. She graduated from Weber High School.

She married Clarence H. Taylor on December 3, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Donna loved gardening and canning. She managed Sills Café, worked at Kieleys, Woolworths, Kings, and the LDS Church in her lifetime. She loved watching and supporting her grandkids when they competed in their sports and activities.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions over the years.

She is survived by her children: Carol Jeanne (CJ) Thomas, Linda Catherine (Cass) Abbott, Patsy (Reese) Dahle, LouAnn (Fred) Kroeger, and Adam Tim (Angie) Taylor; 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (Laura) Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandchild, two great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.

The family would like to thank their sister, Cass, for the love and care she gave our mother the past two years and Summit Home Health and Hospice, (Brenda) who helped us through this tough time.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, Roy, Utah. The family will meet with friends Thursday, December 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
