DONNA SLAGOWSKI TRAVER

Donna Slagowski Traver, age 92, returned home to Heavenly Father, on June 4, 2017 in Bountiful, Utah.  She was born Jan 16, 1925, in Green River, Wyoming, to John Ezra Slagowski and Sara Dean Bodell.

Donna will be fondly remembered for her willingness to help others, and the fantastic food that came from her kitchen, especially the cheese balls and fudge at Christmas time.

She married Arthur Leland Traver on Feb 4, 1956.  Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct 20, 1981.

She spent many years working at the Defense Depot Ogden as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant.

A devout member of the LDS faith, she served many callings in her Ward.  She was a member of the Eutaw Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.  She will be known for not forgetting anyone’s birthday or anniversary.  Her Christmas card mailing list has 322 individuals listed, and everyone got a card for Christmas or special occasion.

She is survived by three daughters: Ramona (Gary) Moore, Ethel (Charles) Eaton, and Sharon Fahrion; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 7 siblings, daughter Bertha Traver Davis and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Orchard 10th Ward (NSL Parkway Stake Center) 3317 South 800 West, Bountiful, UT.  Friends and family may call Monday, June 12 from 6-8 PM at the Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, and on Tuesday at 9:45-10:45 AM at the Stake Center prior to the services.  M&M’s will be served.  Interment will follow at the Bountiful Memorial Park.
