Donna Mae Chlarson Waters
1928 ~ 2018
Our cherished mother and grandmother returned back to our heavenly home to be with her sweetheart, Joe or “Bill”, as she called him, on October 29, 2018, while surrounded by loving family and friends.
Donna was born in Brigham City, Utah on June 5, 1928. She was raised by caring parents, Abram and Lucille Chlarson. She met her eternal companion Joseph William Waters and was married on June 6, 1946, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
Donna had many adventures in life with her husband including a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Darwin, Australia. She served in several different callings in The Church, including serving in the Primary working with children.
She enjoyed many fun-filled road trips to Yellowstone National Park with her family. She had a love for nature and the outdoors. Some of her many hobbies included gardening, quilting, and other crafts. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and collecting dolls.
Her number one focus in life was her family. She had the joy of raising 10 children: Judy (Arlo) Martin, William (Shirley) Waters (both deceased), Linda (John) Potter, Rodger (Arlene) Waters, Ila (Lynn) Stephens, Deborah Stanford, Cherie (James) Andrews, Naoma (Raymond) Potter, Trudy (Ron) Manning, and Donna (Bob deceased) Ward. They also opened up their home to several Indian Placement Children. George Atsitty was one of the Indian Placement students that shared their home and life. She was also blessed to have 52 grandchildren and 133 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Donna has been a great influence of love throughout many generations.
