Donna Bernice Weyburn

Donna Bernice Weyburn was born in Brigham City, Utah, to parents Walter R. Johnston and Bernice Johnston on August 3, 1935. She graduated at Roy High School.

Donna was married to Herbert Lowell Weyburn for 56 years, a loving mother to Cathy Siler, Brent Weyburn, and Cheryl Vigil.

She is survived by two sisters, Yvonne O’Brien and Caroline Johnston, and daughter Cheryl Vigil and her husband Dan Vigil along with 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Private Graveside Services will be held on Friday March 14, 2025, at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.

Donna worked as a teacher’s aide for 20 years at Sunset Elementary where she helped hundreds of children with special needs. She loved to bake, her specialties were banana nut bread, carrot cake and oatmeal cookies.

She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hatters and loved to play cards and was especially good at penuckle and rummy.

Her main hobby was crocheting, one of her favorite creations was a crocheted queen size bedspread made out of crocheted laced thread. It took her 3 years to complete. She also used to love to can fruit, pickles and jams.

Donna was dedicated to her extended family as well as her immediate family. Her husband of 56 years passed away leaving her widowed. She lived in Riverdale Utah on her own for 8 years, then in 2016 she decided to move to Arkansas to be close to her daughter Cheryl. She resided in Assisted Living where she once again found love. She met and fell in love with her neighbor Ron Kiss who lived across the hall. After 3 years she and Ron moved into a shared two-bedroom apartment where they lived happily for 6 months before Donna’s health started to fail her.

She was moved to a nursing home to get the extra care she needed as well as medication to make her comfortable. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Ron Kiss passed away just 4 days later.

We pray that they are in the hands of our loving God and they have found happiness and fulfillment in their eternal lives. We Love You Mom
