With profound sadness we announce the passing of Dora, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on October 1, 2022. She was sixty-one years old and born to Celia Miramontes and Pedro Lopez in Mexico City, Mexico.
Until her health condition made it impossible, Dora was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints working with many ward efforts including the Relief Society.
Dora was a dedicated grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went.
She will be sorely missed and survived by her husband, Pedro A. Cano, children: Gustavo Lopez-Miramontes, Fernando Lopez, Jose Mena-Lopez, and Julia Mena-Lopez, grandchildren: Savannah Lopez, Scarlett Lopez and Sophia Lopez, daughters-in-law: Sonia Lopez, Breanna Mena, and son-in-law: Travis Ring.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Monday, October 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
We invite all friends and family to celebrate Dora’s life with us.
