LAYTON a€" Dora G. Martinez, 72, of Layton, Utah passed away Monday, January 22, 2013 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center of pneumonia complication.

She was born August 8, 1940 in Valdez, Colorado. The daughter of Chon and Mary Vigil Gonzales.

She married Fred I. Martinez on June 18, 1960 in Layton, Utah. She was reared and educated in Layton, Utah. She attended and graduated from Davis High School and had a long distinguished carrier at Hill AFB working in the commodities and maintenance sections before retiring.

She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton, Utah.

Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and wood crafts, she also enjoyed listening to Mexican music.

Surviving are her five sons, Fred (Janet), Clinton; Matthew Layton; Timmothy (Maryann), Clearfield; Troy (Lara), Syracuse; Jimmy (Cathrine), Layton; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Joseph Robert Gonzales, Roy; Julian (Ginger) Gonzales, Layton; Ernest Gonzales, Layton; Ida Martinez, Roy; Viola (Toby) Gabaldon, Hooper; and Esther (Tom) Brems, West Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred I. Martinez of Layton; both parents, Chon and Mary Gonzales of Layton; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Martinez of Layton; brother Gilbert G. Gonzales of Layton; and sister Virginia Olague of Smithfield, Utah. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 So. Chapel Street. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
