Dorene Moore Mordaunt

September 26, 1926 ~ February 13, 2015

PLEASANT VIEW – Dorene Moore Mordaunt passed away on February 13, 2015 at home.  She was born on September 26, 1926 in Ogden, the daughter of David E. and Sylvia Hunter Moore.  She married Vernon R. Mordaunt on March 18, 1948.  He passed away on February 16, 2002.  Dorene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Dorene graduated from Ogden High School and the Dee Memorial School of Nursing.  She worked as a Registered Nurse at McKay Dee Hospital for 41 years.

Dorene is survived by her children, Cheryl Gilgen, Brian (Pam), Kathy Jones, Leanne (David) Socwell, Lynette, and Shawn (Leslie); and 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and six great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Eugene (Carol) Moore.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Cloyd; sister, Thelda Bohman; grandson, Brian D. Jr., and son-in-law, Gary P. Gilgen.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.
