Dorie Jensen passed away peacefully surrounded by those she loved, Tuesday, January 27, 2015, after a 32 year battle with MS.

She was born December 10, 1952 in Ogden, Utah, to Russell Bryan and Elane Nessen Jensen. She graduated from Weber High School in 1971 and attended Painter’s Beauty College.

On August 20, 1970, Dorie married the love of her life, Ken Jensen, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

She loved camping with her family. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting and crocheting; especially when it was with her best friend, her mom, Elane.

Mom gave many years of service to students and staff at Municipal Elementary, where she formed lifelong friendships. Many laughs and many trips to Wendover came from these associations.

Dorie is survived by her loving husband, Ken, their children, Jenni (Devin) McBride, Nancy (Tim) Kiser, MarDee (Brandon) Hosley, Lisa (Mike) Garmire and Russell (Danielle) Jensen, 17 grandchildren, and her loving mother-in-law, Bettie Jensen.

The family extends a special thanks to Wasatch Care Center for the many years of love and care they provided to our wife and Mom. Also, thanks to our amazing Dad for loving our Mom with no limits.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Roy 2nd Ward Chapel, 5127 South 2400 West. The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
