Dorine Dugmore Allen
RIVERDALE a" Dorine D. Allen, 72, was relieved of her extensive and prolonged suffering on Friday, January 16, 2009 in Ogden.
She was born July 19, 1936 in Ferron, Utah, the daughter of Leita and Alfonzo Dugmore. She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Elementary Education and taught school in Tooele and Ogden.
Dorine married the love of her life, James B. Allen Jr., in the Manti LDS Temple on June 15, 1963. She was devoted to God, family, friends, country, and Ferron.
Always kind, fun, and loving, she taught her family these principles through her actions. She loved her family completely and equally, and she will be sorely missed. She was brilliant, compassionate, and shared her many talents with others.
Dorine was a friend of the friendless. She loved the gospel and was active in her church as long as her health allowed. She always did her best. She has finally made it through this night of darkness at the end of her life, and her death ushers in the dawning of a bright new day.
Surviving are her husband Jim, her sister Celia Klundt of Vancouver, WA; her sons, James, Craig, Todd and Rick, three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Riverdale 3rd Ward Chapel, 1056 West 4400 South.
Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the Ward Chapel 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
