Doris Griffiths

Doris Jean Griffiths passed away peacefully Friday August 8, 2014.  Doris was born December 14, 1931 in Compton, CA to Henry and Blanche Baker.

On July 16, 1950 she married her loving husband Robert Lee Griffiths.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple.  During their 60 years of marriage they raised four sons: Patrick, Michael, Timothy and Robert.  Doris was a very devoted mother.  Her family was the center of her life.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held multiple callings.  Her favorite was teaching primary.

Doris is survived by her son Robert (Allie) of Arizona, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.  Doris was the youngest in her immediate family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister, her loving husband and her sons Patrick, Michael and Timothy.

Graveside services will be held Monday August 18, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton 1867 N. Fairfield Road.  Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary.

The family would like to express the appreciation to all of the aids, nurses and doctors that helped make her life as comfortable as possible.
