Doris Cain Hancock

Doris Cain Hancock, 89, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Doris was born July 28, 1925 in Evanston, Wyoming to David LeRoy Cain and Martha Miller. She graduated from Weber High School in 1943.
On November 7, 1942, Doris married Dean Charles Hancock in Slaterville, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 27, 1964.
Doris retired with 35 years of employment with the Internal Revenue Service in 1990, working in Ogden, Utah.
She enjoyed knitting and doing cross-stitching, but most of all, spending time with her family. She was a loving wife and mother.
Doris is survived by three daughters and one son, Patsy (Dean) Duncan, Peterson, UT; Karen (Ed) Reece, Vacaville, CA; Kevin Hancock, Salt Lake City, UT; Jodie (Rob) Shadbolt, Syracuse, UT; one sister June (Terry) Williamson, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dean C. Hancock, son David D. Hancock, sister Dorothy C. Clabo, brother Clarence Cain and great-grandson, Kevin Kinsella.
Thank you for the support from family, friends and the IHC Hospice staff. We would like to especially thank Moms Special Angels, Misty, Ruth Ann, Julie and Erin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
