Doris Blanch Watkins Judkins
Doris Blanch Watkins Judkins, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. She was born on October 16, 1921 to Harris Vern and Ireta Blanch Maw Watkins. Doris graduated from Ogden High School in 1940.
She was born and raised in Ogden, but spent most of her married life in North Ogden. Doris married Dean LeRoy Judkins on November 27, 1942. Dean passed away on November 3, 1979.
Doris was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving as a teacher and Counselor in Primary, Cub Scout Denmother, Visiting Teacher Supervisor, meetinghouse Librarian and worker in the Ogden Temple.
As her children were growing up she was active in their schools, PTA and room mother. She also worked as an election poll volunteer for many years.
She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed crocheting and gardening and camping with her family. Doris was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Doris is survived by sons, Larry (Karen) Judkins, Brad (Bonnie) Judkins, and Rick (Doni) Judkins; daughter, DeAnn (Alastair) Nicol; 14 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Dennis Judkins; daughter, Lark Lansing (Harvey); parents, one brother and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at North Ogden 21st Ward Chapel, 626 East 2600 North. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Hospice for Utah Foundation.
