Doris Jeane Romesburg

Mom, grandma and great-grandma, Doris Jeane Romesburg, 78, of Layton, Utah, formerly of New Brighton, ended her journey peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2013.

Born July 22, 1934, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. Hertzog and Twila Miller. Mom enjoyed painting, visiting family and friends and she loved ice cream and Steelers football. Mom never forgot anyone''s birthday or holidays.

She married Robert R. Romesburg (deceased) on November 8, 1954. Together they had four children and later divorced.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie and her husband Brian, with whom she lived in Layton, Utah; a son, Gary Romesburg and his wife Tammy, New Beaver Borough; son, Keith Romesburg, New Beaver Borough; three grandchildren, Jeremy Safreed, Salt Lake City, Utah; Michelle Castillo, Layton, Utah; and Michael Safreed, Centerville, Utah; six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Zak, Trinitee, Taylor, Avery and Jace. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Cowan; her brother, Paul Hertzog and his wife Laurene, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Troy; a son, Michael; sisters, Marie, Dorothy and twin Betty, and brothers, Lee, Orry and Bill.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
