Doris Slate Stott

November 3, 1939 — May 18, 2023

 

Doris Slate Stott, age 83, passed away at her home Layton, Utah on May 18, 2023.  She was born November 3, 1939 in Ogden, Utah to William and Alice Jenson Slate. 

 

She married Robert M. Stott on April 14, 1978 in Riverdale, Utah.

 

Doris was a member of the Utah Homemakers Club and she sang in numerous church and city choirs.

 

She enjoyed writing greeting cards and lifting the spirits of others.  She loved all animals, especially horses.  She loved spending time at Lava Hot Springs with her family. 

 

Doris loved her children and grandchildren.  She made everyone feel special.

 

She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Stott, one sister Joan Hoskins, brother Dick (Chris) Slate, two sons; Brian Sperry, Greg B. Sperry, three stepchildren; Robert (Cari) Stott, Bobette Stott, JoDee (Cary) Valerio, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family member that she adored.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

 

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Clearfield Community Church, 525 E. 200 S., Clearfield, Utah 84015 or by calling the church at 801-825-1115.

 

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd, Layton, Utah.
