Doris Ellen Coy Watts

Doris Ellen Coy Watts, 93, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was born to Alex Dale Sr. and Beda Pauline Martin Coy on November 1, 1928. Born and raised in Ogden, Utah, Doris attended Dee Elementary School on 20th Street, Mt. Ogden Junior High on 12th and Washington and graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1946.
She was married to Theron Davis Watts in the Logan LDS Temple on August 4, 1950. They had met and courted after he returned from WWII. They raised a family of six boys together. Doris was a den mother, served as Primary Teacher, and sang in the Ogden 4th Ward Choir as a youth.
Doris enjoyed crocheting, sewing, was a devoted homemaker and a very loving mother. She will be greatly missed, but we’re glad that she and dad have been reunited.
Doris is survived by her sons, Blaine T. Watts of Harrisville, David R. (Tracy) Watts of Nampa, ID, Kevin D. (Christal) Watts of South Ogden, and Steven C. Watts of Missouri; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Alex Dale (Sharon) Coy, Jr. of Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron Davis Watts; sons, Terry Lee Watts and Michael Theron Watts; parents; and sister, Beda Jane Coy.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
