Dorothy Buck Arave
I, Dorothy Buck Arave, was born January 20, 1930 to Charles Leonard and Edith Saunders Buck. I passed away on May 17, 2018 in my home surrounded by my family.
I have one brother, Boyd Buck (deceased) and four sisters, Marian Creamer, Donna Thompson (deceased), Marie Johnson (deceased), and Betty Lou Schulze.
I was married to Kenneth C. Arave on May 27, 1947, and Oh! What a posterity we have! We have five children, Kathleen (Ralph) Avis, Ilene (Dwight) Carey, Len (Carol) Arave, Tracy (Leisa) Arave, and Lynette (Dan) Knighton.
We have 23 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and more coming (don’t let me down). We don’t care how they came into our family – we love all of them.
I love my Heavenly Father and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have worked in Sunday School and Mutual. I was Primary President and worked in Primary for many years. But my favorite callings were librarian and visiting teaching.
I had a great life and great friends. So good-bye for now.
