LAYTON a€" Dorothy Willis Brown, 94, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008. She was born April 27, 1913 in Maplewood, New Jersey, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Patterson Willis. She spent her early childhood in New Jersey and her school years in Sedan, Kansas. She received a BA from Pittsburg State University.

Dorothy married Jack Warren Brown on August 21, 1937 and they spent a one-year teaching sabbatical in Budapest, Hungary. She spent most of her life raising her children in Woodland Hills, California. After retiring, she lived for many years in Red Bluff, California and moved to Utah in 2006.

She was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and reading.

Survived by her husband, Jack, two sons: Robert T. Brown, Layton, and Larry M. Brown, Northridge, CA; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Stone, Wichita, Kansas.

Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, five sons and one daughter.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 12 noon at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. Funeral directors, Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
