Dorothy Emily Hamblin Clontz, 93, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the home of her son.
She was born October 26, 1918 in Roy, Utah to Archie and Almeda Child Hamblin.
On January 2, 1941, Dorothy married Allen Russell Clontz in Brigham City, Utah. Allen preceded her in death on September 5, 2006.
She was a member of the LDS Church where she served in various callings and especially enjoyed Relief Society.
Dorothy loved people and people loved her. She was an avid gardener and a wonderful cook. She loved to go fishing with the love of her life. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and had a great love for her family.
She is survived by two children, Stanly Allen (Pat) Clontz, Roy; Shirley Jean (Eldon) Fackrell, Roy; 11 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Eldon (Blanch) Hamblin, a sister, Pearl Connell, and daughter-in-law, June Clontz.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Lonnie, two sisters, five brothers, a granddaughter and three grandsons.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 12th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
