Dorothy Leona Fielding

December 15, 1936 ~ August 25, 2018

The time has come for me to say good bye. I was privileged to return to my Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 25, 2018. I was born to loving parents, LeRoy H. Bailey and Sarah Leona Bennington, on December 15, 1936. I grew up with a loving sister, Helen and brother, James.

On September 9, 1961 I married my eternal companion, E. Leon Fielding. On March 24, 1973 our marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. We were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Shelby (David) Mark and Laina (Chad) Priestley, that I loved dearly. I was also blessed with six grandchildren, T.J., Melissa, Katelyn, Haley, Kendalle, and Karli; and five great-grandchildren, Demrie, Olyvia, Adelynn, Lincoln, and Myles with two on the way.

I attended Weber County Schools, graduating from Weber High School in 1955. I also graduated from Stevens Henager College of Business. I was employed by IRS and worked there for 31 years.

I was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Middle Fork Ward. I enjoyed many callings including Nursery Leader and Primary Teacher.

God has been good to me, now I have returned home to Him and to all my family on the other side.

My wish to you all is to love one another as I have loved you.

Love always,

Your loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Middle Fork Ward, 6500 East 1900 North, Eden, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Huntsville Cemetery.
