Dorothy Lillian Fabian Kellos

February 17, 1921 ~ January 31, 2016

Dorothy Lillian Fabian Kellos, 94, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016.  She was born on February 17, 1921 in Cumberland, Wyoming, to George and Julia Gorenc Fabian. She was raised and attended schools in Superior, Wyoming, and graduated from Superior High School.

She came to Ogden during World War II and worked at the Ogden Arsenal as a stenographer and secretary.  Dorothy played on the Ogden girl’s Arsenal Baseball Team.

She became a lifelong resident of Ogden.

Dorothy married Elwood Kellos on April 17, 1947 in Ogden, Utah.  Elwood passed away on June 23, 2010.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dorothy was an avid golfer and fan of Weber State University sports.  She enjoyed holidays, vacations, cooking and gardening.  Mostly she loved her family and was a great mother and wife.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Paul, Ogden; daughter, Dorothy Jean Hill, South Weber; grandson, John William (Samantha) Hill, Ogden; brother, Thomas (Isabel) Fabian, Cheyenne, WY; and many nieces, nephews, and one cousin.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood; parents, eight beloved siblings and their spouses, and son-in-law, Rolan Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
